Matcha, which translates to “fine powder”, is made from ground green tea leaves. Vibrant, earthy and slightly astringent, matcha is traditionally served plain, whisked with hot water, but it can also be enjoyed as a tea latte.
 
Ingredient notes: The traditional Japanese tea ceremony centers the preparation, serving and drinking of matcha as an act of meditation and spiritual expression. Matcha is high in antioxidants and is said to decrease the risk of heart disease.
